About The Global Music Museum

The Global Music Museum is dedicated to showcasing musical artifacts from around the world. Our mission is to provide an experience where visitors can engage with global music instruments including a hands-on learning center. We offer free cultural tours and informative signage to enhance your understanding of the artifacts displayed. Our qualified staff members are here to assist you in exploring the rich history of music.

We also encourage research opportunities for schools and higher education institutions, fostering a deeper appreciation for global music. Additionally, we host live concerts featuring professional musicians of various  musical genres and styles, creating a vibrant community hub for music lovers. Join us in preserving and sharing the sounds and stories of our global ancestry.

The founding collection comes from the Hartenberger World Music renowned collection of 5,000 instruments featuring fine and historic instruments from cultures around the globe and through historical periods from BCE (Before the Common Era) to CE (Common Era).

Global Music Museum has applied for non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation status.  This corporation will be responsible for acquisitions, public exhibiting, and programming. The Board will be totally dependent upon support from members, individuals, corporations, foundations, and governmental units.
